Submission Guidelines
All submissions must include the writer’s name and contact information for verification. If facts, statistics, or quotes are utilized, credible sources must be linked, cited, and/or included. Submissions must be original content by the writer; letters may not be written using artificial intelligence and collaboration must be cited.
All submissions must be signed; anonymous submissions will not be published. Writers should only submit their own writing with the knowledge their name will be included in the byline. Writers should provide a one-sentence biography to accompany the piece.
Zephyrus does not accept submissions on behalf of organizations or other individuals.
Submissions may be edited for mechanics, length, and clarity by the Associated Press and Zephyrus style guides. Selected pieces will be published with a clearly defined label included before the headline.
All pieces should be submitted to [email protected]. Submission does not guarantee publication. The Editorial Board must approve a submission for publication by a supermajority vote. Submissions should be exclusive to Zephyrus and cannot be returned.
Authors selected for publication will be notified via email within 10 business days of submission. Staff will only respond to the content of the email when a fact needs to be clarified.
Zephyrus reserves the right to reject letters to the editors for reasons including but not limited to:
- multiple letters on the same topic,
- personal attacks contained in the letter,
- obscene content,
